I was SSI for many years & The thing that really bugged me, was if my mother sent me $20 for my birthday, I was required to notify SSA & they would take that $ 20 from me.
I absolutely was Not allowed to get above my 70% of The poverty line, or they’d pull The rug out from under me ! ?

Why do illegals get anything???? I've worked and I don't get enough on ss to rent anything. I live in a vehicle and with the bills I have to pay, price of gas, insurance and food, I never have enough to last all month. Ever. I'm so sick of this shady system. I'm 100 disabled, cannot work and people in my situation that are Americans shouldn't be treated like an animal. That horrible excuse for a president and politicians in general just don't care. In Florida the disabled are treated very poorly. Again, why do illegals get Enough is enough. Cut the politicians pay and viola there's the money.

What Really Hurt's Is Being On SSI And Up In Age You Can't Even Have A Life Insurance Policy That Will Keep Your Family From Having To Deal With Your Debts I Didn't Ask To Be Put On SSI When I Got Injured I Had No Choice And Believe Me It Is A Disaster. God Bless All Gary

Last night I watched your video about the new ruling about the new ruling about the credits for work history. I was 5 months shy for eligibility under the old rules. Which I will contact you later for help on that. But I was able to receive SSI. But I wanted to comment about my current situation that may help others. I moved to Arizona, the property is cheap enough for some to keep from becoming homeless. I bought 5 acres of land for less than $5, 000. The monthly payment is less than $150 a month. I will not mislead anyone, your biggest expense will be hauling water to your property at least twice a month, which is less than $50 a month. The biggest hit will be setting up a solar system, which I did for about $800. Folks, its doable. You have to do your research and manage your time and money wisely.

They should also address ssdi recipients who aren't allowed more than 2k to keep medicaid and the caregivers it provides

All of social security needs revamped not just SSI! But I do think it's unfair that they punish them so much!! But then they allow illegals to get SSI when they have not paid into our system!!! They need to have their own pot for migrants and illegals!! They need to stop taking it for social security!! That screws us over and we have been here since we were born at least the majority of the people here!!

Well they shouldn't have got rid of the common law marriage! I would have been married to my ex-husband for over 20 years if they would have kept that in place!! Then I would be entitled to his benefits but no they got rid of it and I'm not entitled to any of that same way with he is not entitled to my benefits because of that! I was with that man from the time I was about 22 until about 5 years ago. I'm 48 now. When they removed that it hurt a lot of women as we stayed with these men in hopes to actually get married to them one day and we wasted a lot of time on that ring and those promises. That hurt a lot of us!

It is time to update. Also, it would be nice for the government to help us with food. Instead of relying on the rules set forth by the states, the limitations of Medicaid and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program should be administered by the Feds. Some of the states are too far right leaning and corrupt.

Me and my husband both draw SSI and all we get is $524.00 each and it's hard to live on that .
