This song makes me teary. My childhood was good and bad at the same time. Mixed emotions. Your childhood makes you who you will turn out to be as a adult.

This is a real tear-jerker, isn't it? Great song, so evocative of past times for all of us. The film it accompanies is also a great watch - 'A league of their own' from 1992. I remember seeing it in the cinema, and staying to watch the credits at the end as this tune played alongside them. Absolutely wonderful!

I heard this song today at the grocery store. I have not heard it in so long. I started crying tears of joy because of how much Madonna has helped me in my life. I saw her in Chicago with my son Paul and she spoke about the law of attraction. She reminded me of keep your thoughts on good things and things will happen in your life. Love you Madge. !!!!

Whoever wrote the lyrics and composed the tune were just geniuses, and it's just so tailor-made to Madonna's unparalleled voice!

My childhood song. Takes me back, when I was a kid. Whish I could turn back the time when life was so care free and easy.

Always loved Madonna's ballads. Not the most powerful voice in the world but her distinctive/unique vocals convey real emotion.

Oh Yes I am another 42 old admitting this song lives with me and I was young when this song was playing on the radio as a child I fell for this song associating it with my experience falling in love with girls.
Madonna - This Used To Be My Playground (Long Version) is the best version
Madonna alongside other females singers who released romantic ballad songs including Cyndi Lauper, Madonna certainly dominated the 80’s and 90’s charts, there was no internet I had to tune on a Radio stations that played romantic songs always in the evening.

Madonna released in 1983 Borderline, in 1985 Crazy For You, 1986 Live To Tell, in 1987 Who’s That Girl, in 1989 Cherish, Oh Father, Spanish Eyes, in 1992 This Used To Be My Playground, then in 1994 Take A Bow and many other tracks.

Madonna became a machine material girl for over a decade releasing hit after hit, a phenomenal female musician with a well established longevity.

In those day No Internet and I could not afford to buy all these records but Radio stations in Sao Paulo and MTV gave me a key to paradise to be able to discover all these songs so until the rest of my life or thereafter I will continue to love these songs. They are all powerful ballads perfect when you are growing up.

Here in 2017... I don't care who you are or where you are from. This song makes all walks of life reflect and get emotional about certain aspects in their life. This song is incredibly powerful and severely underrated. Kudos to Madonna for this breathtaking song. Wow just Wow.

My happiest days were when I was playing in a Women's softball league. I played the "hot corner"! And I was good!!! I'm 68 yo now and this song reminds me how much I had wanted to be a professional athlete. This song reminds me "no regrets". I had some wonderful friends in my 20's.

Probably my favourite Madonna song, this has some of her best lyrics. Great melody too.

My son made a video of my daughter, she passed away 21 years ago. He included this song in the video that showed her playing baseball. Today is her anniversary of her passing. I keep playing this song and crying.

This song is about my life with my deceased Husband. I can barely listen to it in full. God, I miss him so much. RIP, Mic.
