No algebra, pure logic...
34-19=15, 15/3=5 which means upper portion of one glass is 5cm. Now 19-5=14 which is the height of one glass. Simple.

Let the length of full glass be 'x'
Let the length of top of the glass be 'y'
Now,
In 1st case equation (1) will be: x+4y=34
In 2nd case equation (2) will be:x+y=19

From eq. (2)
x+y=19
x=19-y. -eq.(3)
Putting it in eq. (1) Weget
19-y+4y=34
3y=15
y=5
Again putting the value in eq. (3) Weget x=19-5=14
So, length of full glass is 14cm
And length of top of the glass is 5cm

Because every glass is same of size that is visible. So every glass size should be same and one of the glass is mixed with the large glass. If one glass is 5 cm then we have to subtract it from 19 cm. So the ans we'll get is 14 there are 4 such glasses that are opened in the same size so if we add 20 with 14 we'll get 34 which is the question.

No complicated math, just pure common sense

The first set has 3 cups extra then the second one
The first one is 15cm more
So we need to make top part of a cup a number which is 15 divided by 3 (cuz 3 extra cups) so each counter cup is 5cm
Now just subtract 5 from the second picture to get the last picture which 14

Therefore the answer is 14
