The offshore wind sector sits atop a regional resource with West Coast regional implications and challenges, as well as shared characteristics and opportunities with offshore wind development along the Pacific Rim. Recent energy transmission and port infrastructure studies have highlighted the need for regional forums to address regional issues. This panel discusses opportunities and models for collaboration in areas including scientific research, interagency coordination, regional wholesale electric market design, and California's participation in the Global Offshore Wind Alliance.
