Archeage is by far one of the best MMO of all time... but nothing will change as long as their revenue model does not change, even if we have Archeage 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 if their revenue model remains the same, it will only fail

Original Archeage is by far my fondest memories of playing an MMORPG. The class system with the amazing naval and large scale PvP really spoiled me and made it hard to get into any other MMORPG after it.

Archeage Classic private server just release a week f2p no p2w and banning people that make alts. A lot of people playing it bring back your memories.

Arcehage 1 is one reason why I have trust issues lol buttt if they can make AA2 everything AA1 was, while keeping the game itself free from P2W or gotcha mechanics, I think they could have a huge change to have a GOTY on their hands. or at the very least win back the players they lost.

I mean a subscription based Unchained isn't even a bad idea imo... The thing is I very much doubt that was paired with the removal of the ArchePass, was it? :') Subscription beats the hell out of ArchePass model but having both well... That just sucks more. I would absolutely love an ArcheAge 2 done properly with fair monetization from day 1 until the end and I'll jump right on it day 1 if it is so because ArcheAge is one of my fondest memories in MMO history. But I'm not holding my breath for it because I believe they don't even have fair monetization in their dictionary in triple A gaming generally, let alone the Asian mobile driven market.

I remember vividly why i quit archage back in the day, someone had scammed me of a lot of gold he was buying a ship i had made that took a LONG time since it was one of the biggest ships you could make to transport lots of valuables....he put the amount we agreed upon then he used some hack to immedietly lower the amount to 1 gold instantly as the transaction was made, i talked to a GM and he legit told me that scamming and "pirating" was allowed and that basically i was instantly knew the game was going to go down the shitter the moment i read that from an official looked back.

I don't understand the back-handed slap monetization of games. I think Blue Archive is a good example of game that is certainly P2W, but is still great. The developers truly care about the game and the players. They understand that if they can make good content, characters, gameplay, and storylines that the money will follow. This is evident when considering BA is still growing in popularity and revenue on the Japanese servers, global servers, and most recently the CN servers.

Blue Archive isn't even the best example of this, but it is the best example of a game that has grown from a game type (gacha) that I really don't like to possibly my favorite game in spite of that.
