First Reaction to Black Sabbath, was no joke: An awesome balance between a strong and powerful vocal to a solid arrangement - this was an awesome introduction to BACK SABBATH which I until today, only knew by name. But now - that has finally changed!! Hard to sit still to this one.

One of the most famous opening riffs in heavy metal

One of the great rock standards of all time, and well over 50 years later it still sounds great .

Grandma and grandpa already knew what was good.
It's nice that people like you make sure she isn't forgotten.

Behold, the birth of heavy metal-the creator on guitar, Tony Iommi. That was the way it looked in the 60s. Checked out your shop-you've got some excellent stuff there, young lady. That "Fractions of Me" is coming home with me in some form, maybe two, very soon. Fantastic work. Love your channel!

I have seen Black Sabbath with three different singers, blessed.

Every song on this album is great. Great reaction. Loved the comments, and not stopping the song is wonderful! Thanks.

Every song on this album is great. I really liked listening to it because they could bring really up and then do a slow calming song that was so great.

War Pigs, it's been mentioned a bunch, and I've liked every one I could see. One commenter mentioned the live version in 1970, Paris. It's just incredible. But also check out the studio version, or a cover by Puddles Pity Party, for a powerful reinterpretation. Or, and this is just me spit-balling, listen to all three, back to back to back. Like a War Pigs mini-marathon.

love this song fun fact, album was almost done they needed one last song lasting only 2½ minutes Tony Iommi came up with the riffs to Paranoid while the other members were out for lunch so yes Paranoid was the last song written for the album and turned out to be one of their biggest hits

You are hitting one of the all time great bands and the first and most influential metal outfits. They had 'IT' right from the start, so to properly start your journey with this amazing band, do their first song from their first album, the song that freaked us all out in 1970: the song Black Sabbath, from the album, Black Sabbath, by the immortal band Black Sabbath. Do everything on that album as time permits, even if you listen to it when chilling out, that album will change your view on how they rate such legendary status. And that is just the first of 6 utterly great albums in a row, as good a run as their legendary contemporaries in the 70s. Good luck on your musical voyage, they will blow your mind! They sure did us, enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶

Grandfathers of Heavy Metal. War Pigs is an obvious next. If you want a Punchy version of War Pigs catch their UN-remastered version of their live in paris 1970. Bill Ward, the drummer, takes his kit to school. This version also comes with an extra unreleased verse as well. Peace/JT

Great reaction Sabina!! And to think this was their 'throw away' track (it was made at the last minute as a studio request to fill up the album) - became one of their best known tracks!
In all honesty, their first six albums are all masterpieces of heavy metal! So much goodness (and variety) contained in each!
First album (self-titled) is more bluesy (check NIB, Behind The Wall Of Sleep, Black Sabbath); Second (Paranoid) gets darker, with some psychedelia thrown in (check War Pigs, Planet Caravan, Hand Of Doom, Iron Man); Third (Master Of Reality) is when basically 'stoner' metal is born (check Sweet Leaf, Children Of The Grave, Solitude, Into The Void); Fourth (Vol. 4) combines all previous (check Snowblind, Supernaut, Wheels of Confusion, Tomorrow's Dream); Fifth (Sabbath Bloody Sabbath) gets some orchestral in the metal (check title track, Sabbra Cadabra (one of my favourites!), National Acrobat, Spiral Architect); Sixth (Sabotage) again combines previous (Hole In The Sky, Symptom Of The Universe, Megalomania, The Writ).
ALL are excellent! Vocals, musicianship, groove - it's all there. Godfathers of METAL! Cheers

I saw them in 1977! After the early 80's, Ozzi went solo, but they had other vocalists over the years. Their first 4 albums are full of great material!

Great reaction Sabina to this rather early song of the best hard rock band ever. For me no one come even close (But there are some really great groups outhere" I have followed them since the start and i am rather proud over that.

Godfather of metal… I’ve seen Ozzy no less than 40 times; never disappointed.

Hi Sabina, great to hear you doing some classic metal bands! Yes, Iron Man is next from the Ozzy years, but also try Sign of the Southern Cross or Voodoo from the Dio era, great stuff, and very contrasting styles. Love your reactions! <3

Loved your reaction, The thing about Black Sabbath is that they started out great and got better with each album. Every song is meant for a listening experience not just background music. Every song feels like an actual experience, I recommend starting at the beginning with the song "Black Sabbath" on the album Black Sabbath. Thanks again for the great reaction.

Now, sabbath bloody sabbath. The song that turned me to metal as a 12 year old kid in the early 80's.
