Home Office Interior Design - Bespoke 'Secret Bookcase door'

Home Offices have definitely taken centre stage in 2020 and is the number one request from clients right now. I really loved this Home Office I designed and completed mid February before lock down! My clients wanted a room that they could both work from home in but also have some downtime with a warm and luxurious “American Study” feel to it. Their original space had a wall of metal finished recessed cabinets with a heavy door that lead into their Gym.

I knew instantly I wanted to create a seamless wall of bespoke walnut cabinets and a secret book case “door” in the centre which would conceal the entrance to their gym. My clients loved this idea!

The “the secret library door” has delighted my clients (and their kids!) and also proves that both the aesthetic and functional impact of great ideas in interior design cannot be underestimated.
