Is Delta Air Lines Done Hiring Flight Attendants for 2024

There's been lots of talk about whether or not Delta Air Lines is still hiring flight attendants or if they are done for 2024 and I think I got to the bottom of it.

AA does not have an opening now but they announced in December they are adding 3000 FA’s this year. 🙌🏻✈️🥳

I was waiting ever so patiently for your take on this phenomenon with Delta. Thankfully, I applied just in time on the 3rd about an hour after they open their hiring window. Received an email from them that they will send me the Talent Assessment 5 business days after I applied. Delta is getting back to their traditional hiring patterns prior to the pandemic. It seems they are becoming more selective after announcing that their new training requirement is now 7 weeks.

As someone who works for Delta, if you want to become a flight attendant don't let this stop you from applying to the airline. Apply for another position and you can always transfer when the position opens up. Same with any other airline. If you want to only work for Delta or United or Southwest and they are not currently hiring for Flight attendant? Then apply in another position. The airlines love hiring from within. And your seniority goes fast.

I got an email from them telling me that they were filled. I seen a lot of people complaining about it. I hope I can get into the 2025 class and in the email they told me that they are looking forward to keeping in contact. I look at it like you might’ve applied to late that you have a great chance because people still have to pass the class. 🤞🏾 with good hopes for me to gather more info about flight attendants. I’m still excited and congrats to those who got in 2024 🎉🎉🎉.

Thank you for providing the clarity. I received a job alert for FA LOD & non-LOD. When clicking on it, it says This job is no longer accepting applications.

I just applied at the beginning of October 2024, and got the same email Abbie is talking about one year ago where they state the English speaking only class is full and only accepting LOD

They still have the application up today (October 19, 2024) and it’s the general application and doesn’t specify LOD only.

Wish they would take it down or repost it like United does where they specifically state the languages they are still recruiting for.

I just saw a post from flyby Stella who is a Delta flight attendant and a YouTuber just posted that her airline Delta Airlines is hiring and confirmed everything. She was posting on the airplane for a two hour layover in Las Vegas and has been a flight attendant for Delta Airlines for seven years and said the only job she ever wants now that she’s been applied tent this.

That's true! I received an email saying that they're English speaking FA's are filled for 2024 & they're considering 2025 candidates later this year. I can email you a copy of my letter if you send me your email address.

Why were there no alerts about UA opening up it's applications for FAs? I looked one day and they were open then literally gone the next

Being a FA is a very difficult job. Huge turnover the first year as the major carriers will work the newbies to death, despite FAA & union rules. ALL the major carriers do this. This is why these airlines are always hiring for the next class. Huge turnover, which has burst ALOT of bubbles. We know several that this was their dream job, got hired and got through training, but once on the job, got quickly burnt out, which was heart breaking. 😢

No Abbie, as of August 25, 2024 to September 2024, Delta IS NOT ACCEPTING any applications even for LOD Flight Attendant applications.

I've been looking into into a FA position, I would love it...I like working and my kids are all grown so I think it would fit my lifestyle perfectly ...we'll see I suppose 😊
