Bjorn Berge, norvégien, est un virtuose comme il en existe peu. Tous ceux qui l’ont vu peuvent témoigner de sa maîtrise époustouflante de la guitare à 12 cordes, de la fluidité bouleversante de son jeu de slide. À mi-chemin entre l’orchestre et la locomotive à vapeur lorsqu’il se produit sur scène, guitare en avant, scandant ses couplets de la voix tout en les martelant du pied, Bjorn affiche une énergie inédite. Son originalité réside sur le fait qu’il soit seul sur scène ; et pourtant, il rend sa musique aussi captivante et vivante que s’il s’agissait d’un groupe complet ! Il n’hésite pas à incorporer à son blues traditionnel des sonorités funk, folk et hip-hop. Avec Mad Fingers ball, son dernier album, Bjorn Berge nchantera la Salle Nougaro avec ses riffs endiablés.
