There is hardly a James Bond soundtrack that I don't like.

I love the theme of the ascending fourth chromatically going up and down the scale to create a very signature sound for the Bond franchise.

In fact, there are really only two franchises that have done this.
One is Mission Impossible and the other is James Bond.
Both have kept the integrity of that theme while morphing the chord progression and melodies over the decades. Both have maintained the original theme in such a way that it's always recognizable while being quite unique.

Here is a list of all 25 artists that have recorded the James Bond theme starting in 1962, a year before I was born:

Seeing as SKYFALL is basically a love letter to the legions of Bond fans all over the world, and my personal favorite Bond film EVER, the thing song was so well done by Adele. Knowing Gabriela's voice as well as we do, it's NO surprise that I prefer THIS version by FAR!!! Her power, control, vibrato, poise, and passion are all absolutely on point here!

FINALLY ! A female song that challenges Gabby to show off her insane range and sense of dynamics. We all know she can growl out heavy metal like no other, but Skyfall is a very difficult song due to the way Adele teases us by randomly jumping octaves into head voice. That requires slamming on the brakes and easing into the octave jump, and Gabby shows she can do that with ease. Well Done Gabby & Ken!!! This oughta bring in a bunch of envious female student candidates.

I appreciate that the recording you posted left the vocal track dry so you could hear all the details of her voice during the song. Leaving it dry isn't always the most flattering to anyone, but from a perspective of learning and hearing how it would sound in your headphones while recording is always of great importance and help to myself.
