Great video. I switched from the GoPro 10 to DJI Action 4 about a year ago now and have never looked back.
Can't wait to see what the Action 5 is going to be. I still think the Action 4 is the best all round action camera on the market today.

My favorite topic isn't low light, but overheating. Maybe my action shots aren't action enough to keep it cool. I'm still on my 11 figuring out what next, but to put that in perspective my previous camera is a GP7 which is still a great camera for daytime shots. Love the information and reviews.

Just bought Ace Pro a week ago.
All I need from it is the Best Pan Focused Wide angle Night videos.
For out focus / normal focal length videos will be handled by my Sony cameras and GM II lenses.
I think I made the best choice for my purpose.

Great review, I have been buying the uneven numbers of the Go Pro camera's since the 3+ Black, and the last one i bought was the 9 Black. Now I'm contemplating of buying the GoPro 13 but I feel annoyed with the fact that I have to replace all my batteries as the old ones won't fit anymore, on top of that GoPro tries to rope you in their monthly contracts etc just to squeeze another few dollars out their clients. This has opened the door for me to have a look in the DJI Osmo which makes sense as they also manufacture drones and on top of that they are an innovative company and not too concerned about their future as they have a variety of products unlike GoPro. But I do like the macro lens option on the GoPro 13

The most comprehensive comparison I've seen yet. And thanks for the overheating report on battery life. Overheating GoPros is a REAL PROBLEM I have here in Florida as I record at 4k 120fps constantly while fishing. Once temps are 85 and no wind or direct sun, they overheat. I have to take the battery out and take the door off then put a Small USB fan blowing into the battery compartment to prevent overheating. Fan makes noise so that is a problem. I've been tempted by the DJI and will problem pull the trigger on their new Action 5.

I have Gopro 11, then bought DJI 4, Ace Pro, I don't think I will buy Gopro 12 or 13, in the same time I can't wait DJI 5 Pro and Ace Pro 2, those 2 action cameras are better than gopro

I heard the Action 4 and Ace Pro use the same sensor but one has HDR and the other 10-bit. When it comes to these two features, which is generally more preferred and why?

For the Hero 13 in Linear around 7:00 -- Was that stock or with a lens? The 13 seems to have a much wider linear view which is something I've been wanting for a while. More specifically, does the Hero 13 offer a wider FOV in Linear than the Hero 12? Thank you! Love these comparisons videos.

If you go to the main DJI Mic 2 web page, at the bottom subscript 5 says:

"5. When the DJI Mic 2 transmitter is connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth, internal recording is not available."


I assume it's not just smartphones but any bluetooth connections that and that it's actually connecting to the Osmo Action 4 with something extra that lets it also do internal recording.

I just used my Hero 8 in 1080P 30 for a ebike vlog 😂. Since I have the DJI Mic2 from the Pocket 3 I think I might upgrade to an Action 4 or 5 at some point. Your audio sounded better than most videos using the Hero 13 with that mic. They’re not reinventing the action camera these days.
