I think Mellie told Olivia about this just because at the end of the day he only ever listens to Olivia whether they are together or not. Coming from her though she does seem like a hypocrite but she low key jealous too. Olivia left him and so what is he supposed to do just sit around pining over her? Fitz has never been single before. He was married to Mellie for over 20 years and was on and off with Olivia so he's having fun and there's nothing wrong with that. She can play games and sleep with Jake all she wants to but she wants Fitz to be there for when she's ready to come back cause in the past she's always been able to just come in and out of his life anytime she felt like it. Just the thought that maybe he's moved on frightens her. Her bringing up his father wasn't right cause her father aint no better. Just a reason to see her boo again cause she still loves him and she don't want him to do anything to jeopardize his last days in the white house.
