It is Oct. 17, 2023 and I needed to make a pretty bow without cutting and measuring. I had used this easy method many years ago but couldn't remember exactly how it went. Thank you, Michaels Stores, for still having this video up to remind me how to make a one sided wire ribbon bow!!!!😍

Wow! This is really a "trust the process" type of craft. I thought my bow looked awful until I continued to fluff and arrange the loops. Thanks for the tutorial!!!!

Next time tell me I need the pipe cleaner at the beginning so I don’t have to restart to go find one

A friend of mine whom I haven’t seen in a very long time showed me how to make wired ribbon bows (this was back in the 90’s long before the days of YouTube!) and I forgot having not made them in a while. Your technique was almost exactly how I remember it now that I’ve watched your demo. TY for sharing 😊

Need a 3rd hand to flip the roll of ribbon. Awesome end results.
Just made my first lighted wreath. 👏

Thank you! I use a zip tie with my bows but I do like the idea of the pipe cleaner/chenille stem too! Especially as you can use it to connect the bow to where you would like it. Great job!

Thank you so much for this video! I am a complete novice, and I pulled it off. I made a tree topper for our outdoor tree that I decorated at my handicapped husband's request. It made him so happy! Thank you again.

I did it! It came out pretty good. I did it while watching, I should’ve watched first then do it with you, but I’m very happy with the way it turned out! Thanks!

Instead of the chenille stem, I use floral wire, also called paddle wire, ( it comes on a paddle) to secure the bow. You can buy paddle wire at Michaels. Also, you can use non wired ribbon, too. thanks for the refresher. I am going to film myself making wreaths this year. I made two so far, so when I make my next one, I will film it so others can make it, too, if they want to. Thank you.

The only ribbon I have is a pre-cut length of red wire ribbon with a subtle floral print that my parents have literally had for 20+ years, and the technique still worked out fine 🙂 Makes a nice tree-topper, I secured it with old bread bag twist ties

I tried and succeeded. I made two of them and put them together to make it into my tree top. Thank you so much!! 🎉

If you're having problems with this, try using a double sided ribbon (I bought a red gauze ribbon at the dollar tree that is fine) and don't necessarily try to make each loop "1 inch larger than the last". You can actually try to make then approximately all the same size and you'll end up with different sized loops anyway and it'll make it easier if you're new to this.

It's easier for beginners to use double sided ribbon that way the ribbon has the same pattern on both sides, it becomes confusing when you have to flip and twist to get the loop to match the other side especially if this is your first time. Its supposed to be fun guys, NOT stressful. Have some fun. Happy bow making :)

I did it! Thank you Michael's. Didn't have a pipe cleaner, used wire hangar.

Love that they are now chenille stems, as opposed to the pipe cleaners I know them as. Oops! Just dated myself.😀
