I think the goodbye to Robyn's kids was more for Meri on Closing her chapter. Maybe it was on her heart to explain even if she didn't see them often.

Meri is getting more and more irrelevant with her beat up theme of a dumped but not broken wifey, she is not even involved with Robyn much anymore. She needs more of these same old appearances simply to make money, her kid is also not much help to her, so we see what we see. Janelle has a much bigger storyline than Meri with lots of kids. They also might have cut a lot of late Garrison's scenes for the sake of being nice to Janelle and his memory too, who knows

I think the reason that we don’t see as much of Janelle as we expected or wanted to is because perhaps her scenes were with Garrison. We know they removed those scenes.

I don’t want to see Christine and David. It’s totally boring. I’m very disappointed in this season. Lots of old clips, clips on iPhones, and just repeating old stuff that we already know. I fast forwarded through half of episode 6 and looks like episode 7 will be even worse.
