By 2025, there will be over 1 billion women experiencing menopause in the world.

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2021, we are sharing a series of short stories from women at Diageo who are choosing to challenge unconscious bias, gender and ethnic representation and the silence around menopause by inspiring others with their passion for inclusion and diversity, inside and outside of our organisation.

Watch Cheryl Stacey, our Talent Engagement Lead and Global Supply Procurement at Diageo, talk about the importance of raising awareness and understanding on menopause, a topic which is often seen as taboo yet is a natural rite of passage for every woman.

It is likely that everybody knows someone currently experiencing menopause, so it’s important that we not only actively encourage all of our employees to build an understanding of how the menopause impacts women, but also provide the resources, support and flexibility to those who need it. This is why we are proud to announce our first ever global Menopause Guidelines ‘Thriving Through Menopause’. The guidelines have initially been launched across the United States, Canada, USVI, the United Kingdom and Ireland, with more countries to follow later in the year. For more information, go to:
