idk. I read all the books. many times the reading was done with a red headlamp, in cold winter, camping and surviving at base 9500 altitude Colorado, Summit County. I read it slowly, carefully. It was all i had.

I usually only read things once. I appreciate you retelling it, in a way that brings me back.

I often read things once, because its a discovery process.

Ive read LOTR i don't know how many times. 5 at least. Dune i used to read every other year.

I've re read a few of the series but;

I so highly appreciate this retelling. This is new, a new perspective. Well done.

One of the characters I created many years ago was 'Sorn Jalavar' - a drow elf ranger based on Drizzt. One of my favourite memories in my younger years was when I actually saw an email on the inside of R.A. Salvatores books & straight up emailed him to thank him for the great stories that have fuelled my brain with so much happy. & even went on to ask him if he had any kinda prequels maybe in the works about adventures of Zaknafein & Jarlaxel. Because I'd be thrilled to read the crap outta those. It was months later, I'd actually given up hope & that the first author I'd ever emailed probably didn't even get it....but then i got an email from Bob. Lmfao, I was like, Bob? Bob crap!! He goes by Bob? & I was certainly thrilled AF that je actually got back to me. I still have the email like a dork & check it out sometimes. 😆

I read the homeland series.. i loved Zaknafein I was sad when he died. He hated the drow and lloth. Im glad he didnt die in vain cause his legacy Drizzt got vengence
