The Automat Matuska 6:32 is a great place for a beer.
I discovered it accidentally when visiting Pivovar Bubenec, my destination the day I visited that I was going to specifically one day, which is a smaller brewery taproom type pub, which had amazing food.

Hubby and I tried out Cafe Foyer at the Hlavní Nádraží (Prague Central Station) a few weeks ago. HIGHLY highly recommend. Especially for a lunch (they do lasagne).

I discovered the Písecká Brána cafe by chance at the beginning of July. I walked up to the castle from Hradčanská, stopped at the cafe for a lemonade and hid from the rain there before continuing up to the Belvedere and the castle gardens, and down into Jelení Příkop. I was really trying to avoid the tourist crowds and it was nice to see landmarks from a different angle.
