What is the phase constant for the harmonic oscillator with the velocity function v(t) given in Fig. 15-32 if the position function x(t) has the form x = xm cos(vt + phi)? The vertical axis scale is set by vs = 4.0 cm/s.

This is wrong I'm afraid. As the figure put into sin^-1 is 0.04 / -0.05, the final angle has to be in the third or the fourth quadrant. The answer is 5.36 rad.
