I absolutely love John Lord. His approach to gardening and his infectious smile get me every time.

Always love to see new chapters from your channel. I live in Florida and the sand soil is a real challenge to grow crops, but your channel is of great inspiration. This past year with the pandemic and restrictions haven't been able to grow much. Is very refreshing to see others growing gardens all over.

Real Gardens was a gardening TV show that was on our television screens on Channel 4 from 1998 - 2000 and ran for 3 series.

Confused. Loved the overgrown greenery prior. Thus is just so cold and grey.

"Does that mean I get to touch your bottom?" Like WTF
No chainsaws. Was there no budget this season?

Thankfully, we now know that no-dig gardening is all about understanding soil as a living community, not disturbing it, feeding it...alas, most of the micro-life isn't visible to the naked eye (and therefore, misunderstood.) Living soil is also a carbon sink. This series is dated. Newer ideas about natural systems are not considered but I suppose it's valuable for triggering some critical thinking about our position in the web of life on earth.

I can't believe they're cutting those beautiful trees down!!!

I am 64 old female garden always doing hard work sometimes chopping down unfruitful trees that crowd the view of garden.

We thank God for the experts like Monty & Titmarsh who tell who tell us what means for a real plot of garden means.

That beautiful tree. Such a shame to destroy it. I didn't like to see that at all. Couldn't they have just pruned it?
livingincrete
old Monty before he realized how no-dig gardening saves your back as much as it saves the soil organisms!
ericsafran
You don't cut down trees for a view of the tops of houses. Fuck that. Love you Monty though <3

It's fortunate your local authority allowed you to take that tree down. In Canada, where I live, there are so few trees that one needs to pay for a permit to take down a tree, if it is approved. Then you have to pay to have another tree planted somewhere else.

So disappointing they decided to cut down such a beautiful tree... sad day for the planet 😢
