The goalies have one job. They don’t need to play the puck when his whole team is in their zone, and especially when the entire opposing team is in their zone too. Oh well I’m glad we won but I wish our goalies would stop trying to be players

Letting a team catch up to you that fast is not gonna work in the playoffs, if it wasn’t for Warren’s last minute goal……..The game could have ended very differently. If you let the Red Wings do this to you, It’s not going to go well when you face the big rigs in their hardcore playoff mode.

Never get lazy and assume you’ve won the game……even when you have a significant lead.

Until the clock runs out… Anything can happen

Another very important thing to remember, is that no matter what team you’re playing… Always play as if you’re playing the top team in the league. Go just as hard against Arizona as you would against Colorado, it doesn’t matter how weak a team may appear to be….they always have a chance of beating you. So you must do your best to minimize their chance as much as possible.

Giving up five against the wings. What a dominant performance. This is the best team in hockey. All they have to do is get 6 or 7 goals against bad teams and defense and goaltending take care of the rest. Probably the greatest assembly of any professional team...not just hockey. They are by far the greatest people off ice too. I love them. I hope they play in the NFL in the off-season. I don't think anyone will ever replicate this performance

What even is defense? You can point the finger at our goalies, but the whole team is getting consistently beat in every area of play. Getting beat in faceoffs, corners, leaving guys wide open IN THE CREASE for easy goals, and having guys just straight up skate right past them to get in front of the net. The goalies still need to make the save, but Ned and Griess haven't been getting ANY help in the defensive zone for at least a month now...

Great win, Oilers, but my god, we need to make a trade our two. Why is our defence and goaltending always so inconsistent? Great game against Tampa, blow a 4-1 lead here. Glad we pulled it out in the end though:)

Seider had probably his worst game in this one. He had poor positioning/got beat on three goals and was on the ice for more than that. He looked like a rookie in this one. I’m sure he’ll bounce back and learn from it though.

Wings defense the story as always. Nice to see the offense generate and get them back in it.
