Note that even after Doggerland was submerged, around somewhere in the middle ages the UK did had a territory in northern france which are Britanny, Normandy, half of Pays de la loire, and the northern lands of Centra val de loire, Normandy is a special one because before it was owned by the brits, the vikings were the first ones to conquer that province, specifically the normans from norway which were vikings, normandy was conquered by the brits known as the Norman Conquest of 1066, note that normandy wasn't actually part of the Uk officially, but rather it was like a personal union controlled by british leaders whilst it acted as a administration by a local figure head.
