Shericka Jackson has been running all season. It is exceedingly difficult to always keep peak performance. An understanding of human physiology dictates that the body needs rest, even Bolt or Sherika needs to manage their energy, to push too hard over an abbreviated period can be counterproductive both mentally and physically. There is always the possibility of mental or physical exhaustion.
It is easy for us as spectators to wish for a spectacular performance each time Ms. Jackson runs. Let us be realistic, who among us can be always at their best. At the recent world gams Ms. Jackson ran in six highly competitive races, and a few weeks later ran in two competitive races. Look at the performance of the US athletes who were both beaten in the one hundred meters. We should be mature enough to love the continuing preparation and performance of our athletes and supporting team.

My take, a strong athlete like Sherika should be encouraged to perform in both races because if she doesn't break the world record then at least she would get the chance of maximizing her earnings. Looking at Sherika running, I believe she needs to watch some races with people like Richardson and Elaine to master the technique of flying on the track. She holds back too much.

Sherika is an extremely strong athlete, even though she is stronger in the 200.. she should be encouraged continue to run in both races. She is only human and she should NOT FEELL as if she must "Break World Records" each time she SET FOOT ON THE TRACK. ONLY SHERIKAN KNOWS how much her body can take. She is going to do so when the Chips are higher and it counts more. Focusing on only the 200 meters is a big NO NO, Usain Bolt started out as a 200m specialist, he decided to run the 100, which even his own father told him no, the rest is history, if Afsava Powell had run the 200m maybe the outcome of his career would be totally different, so Sherika, please continue to do tje sprint double, because you are not a complete sprinter if you dont do the sprint double, I know you believe in yourself and I believe in you also.
