It's interesting that the scene at the jewelry shop, the scene where William suggests they continue their monthly dinners and the scene where Eliza says she'd like a simple ring wrapped up with a nice bow and William says "I'll keep that in mind!' all happened before Arabella dumped him!

Stuart Martin' represents all of us, why cant they kiss already?! Alright, I get that they probably fear their friendship is gonna change forever and probably think the other won't take their feelings seriously enough, but they already take good care of each other, so it's about time!
I wish they showed their first kiss on a flashback, it would be funny to see their teenage versions

I think we will see Season 4 as a period of growth for both of them. For one, Eliza has realized up close and personal that she is in love with William, but she's not the only woman of interest. I think Williams courting Arabella woke her up fast.

Perhaps she needs to stay away from him to .grow up. She quietly and firmly told him off with "And Arabella would be content with that?" and was probably something the earlier Eliza would have not said. She would have taken him back just to have him in her life.

As for William, he's been rejected by two women in the same day! Or at least it looks that way after editing. That is a blow to anyone's ego, and he would be no exception. I expect the fourth Season will be them apart, growing up and learning (painfully no doubt!) how to come back together.


Now this is just me, but the way he 'described how he proposed" in Episode 6 would be a great way to end the series. Not that I want it to end, but the reality is the slow burn the writers are forcing on us is just becoming irritating and their relationship is backsliding. So either there is progress, or the fans will move on.

So excited the fandom is getting a Season 4!! My fan fantasy is that the dark and smouldering actor, Aidan Turner and Ben Barnes, are added to the cast and they are both are pursuing her.😳😜🤣

William received his "comeuppance" in the Season 3 Finale -- but on the real, he brought it on himself. He basically was called on his crap by the women in his life because he thought he was going to "have his cake and eat it too.". Oh well -- he will survive.😆

I would like to see personal growth for Eliza and William; it would be nice to see Eliza experience a courtship with a man who cares and adores her. Specifically, a wealthy man who will give her the world. She needs a relationship point of reference being a single and professional woman. She needs some real adult experiences. Okay getting off my soapbox now.

All in all, Season 3 was lovely and highly entertaining. I am so grateful and thankful for all of the wonderful TV viewing choices that PBS offers. My second favorite mystery is Vienna Blood. Looking forward to Sanditon and Tom Jones this spring!!

Cleary this video shows that they have more growth to do and nothing will happen in season 4. Kate said one day it will happen. I' m not waiting for one day in the distant future.

Would love to see them together, but I fear that may be the end of the show. In the meantime at least let them acknowledge how they feel about one another.
