Agatha All Along First 2 Episodes do worse than The Acolyte

Agatha All Along is an upcoming American web television series, based on the Marvel Comics supervillain of the same name. The series is a spin-off of WandaVision. It is the twenty-fourth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the tenth installment of Phase Five. The series is produced by Marvel Television and will be released on Disney+.

The first season will consist of nine episodes and premiere on September 18, 2024.

I might get hated on but Agatha’s First three episodes are better than the entire series of the acaloyte

The interest of Agatha is growing especially after the mention of Mephisto and exploring much more of her past.

Agatha is the better show. Word of mouth will get more eyeballs on it. The initial rollout doesn't mean as much anymore.

This is all based on the first episodes, right? I’m not shocked a brand new Star Wars show did better than a spin-off show about a minor character. Agatha is a cheaper show so I’m sure Disney is pleased in the end. Also the Internet (for now) appears to be “positive” towards Agatha.

My wife and I love Agatha, so far. She'd already said she wants to watch it again--even before we fished the series! We haven't watched Acolyte. We probably will never watch Acolyte.

After watching the first two episodes of Agatha, I can't help but notice its glaring similarities to The Acolyte. However, unlike that abomination, Agatha is actually pretty good. It's interesting because both series focus on a coven of witches, but unlike Acolyte, Agatha has great writing, characters, cinematography, tonal balance, set pieces, music and fits perfectly into the larger narrative of the MCU without contradicting or diminishing it. It's almost like Agatha is an apology for the Acolyte or that the creative team for Agatha used the latter as a guide in how not to do a "witch-themed" series set in a larger universe. Personally I like the first two episodes and will keep watching the show to see where it goes. As a marvel/MCU fan I enjoy all the movies/TV shows;yes there have been some highs and lows but at the end of the day I still find joy from watching the MCU.

One thing to keep in mind is Agatha is cheaper then Acolyte so it doesn't need to make as much money. I liked the show. It's certainly no "Penguin" but it is fun enough. It's far better then the Acolyte. I think this was always going to have a smaller audience. I think it's a solid "B" tier show. It's entertaining but not must see television by any means.

My issue with Agatha and The Acolyte isnt even with the specific shows. It with Disney Plus in general. Their shows are just so incredible formulaic and BORING. Everything is the same. Meanwhile, Penguin grabbed me with 10 minutes and I really enjoyed that.

Agatha isnt a popular character. Her ties to Wanda is the only reason for most to watch it. Its been pretty good so far.
