No Fixed Address - From My Eyes Reaction

In this video we're checking out No Fixed Address. We're told that this is an indigenous Reggae band from Australia. That sounds super interesting to us, so we're excited to hear what this band has to offer. Enjoy!

I can't remember No Fixed Address being a controversial band.

Hayley and I are in the audience. We respectfully clapped away to their song, and tried our best to take in their message. We had known about No Fixed Address for a long time before they got on Countdown, because of pictures and articles in music magazines like Ram and Juke, and 3RRR playing them. But it was different having them on a stage that was usually taken up by INXS, The Church, etc.. Good reaction.

They were quite a well-known band in the Australian music scene in the early 80's. Bart Willoughby (drummer, singer) also had a band called Mixed Relations. You might like to listen to ''Aboriginal Woman'' from the 90's.

Reggae is and has been the music of the oppressed and dispossessed informing the people of who and why they are in the position their in CORRUPTION AND GREED the villain in most of the stories

Never seen them before so interesting to see it sounds in same style of Bob Marley which never heard from a band from top end before. Nice music but I did not catch many of the words to understand what the whole song was about.
Just as aside. I do not consider it a little thing we had happen in Australia yesterday. It was a referendum which last one we had was nearly 25 years back. Everyone gets to vote to a possible changes in the constitution and then as a collective we have to accept the result whether it what we wanted or not. Part of being an actual democracy which sadly most places in the world do not have. I wish we had referendums a bit more often.
Anyway, good music and I will have to check out if No Fixed Address had the more songs to hear what they are like overall.
