Got the opportunity to talk in front of a school full of elementary kids, their teachers, and a bunch of veterans during a Veterans Day event. When I was a high schooler in front of all those people, JROTC helped me gain a lot of confidence.

I had absolutely zero confidence. Them when i was the fjrst cadet in my class to make cadet airmen first class, now all the cadets in my flight come to me for help. And then drill tram is super fun.
