How to install an INVISIBLE Zipper Slider - Easy to repair a Zipper Slider with No Tools!

In this video, I show you one method to install the slider onto the invisible zipper tape.

Unlike regular zippers, the coil (teeth) is not visible on the front of the zipper when sewn into the garment.
The coil is on the back side (wrong side) of the zipper tape.

The Slider has two channels on either side that meet at the centre.

Under the zipper pull tab, there is a point and that is where you stop when threading in the tape ends.

To insert the zipper tape into the top of the slider, you first need to roll out the coil a bit from the tape before threading it into the channel.
Insert end in and stop and the point. Repeat with other side of zipper.

With both ends even, and the pull tab pointing down, push the slider down the tape.
It's that easy!

Invisible zippers are used in shorts, skirts, pants, dresses, jumpsuits and coats. You can also install them in soft furnishings like pillows and cushion covers.

Thank you so much!! I was trying to mend an invisible zipper on a large box-style armchair cushion. so it was nearly impossible until I saw your video and your method. Even though I had to thread the zip teeth in without any tape at the end, once I understood all the other techniques I was able to reconnect the zip and create an end stopper so the zipper can’t come off again. Literally the fiddliest job ever, but it would’ve cost me a bomb to get it repaired given the length of the zip. Very happy 😊
