What do you think about it? What would you show on the LEDs?😎👇

I have to use paper straws and lower my thermostat in the winter to help save the environment while this thing burns through the same electricity as a small village. Just insane

Imagine going all the way to Vegas to see the Sphere, and some advertiser booked its logo to be displayed for the whole time you're there.

The amount of high-tech being used in this project is just INSANE! 🤯

Usually cool and ambitious construction projects are not in the US. It is exciting to see our country still has it in them to build something creative. Love it.

Being an audiovisual engineer myself, bravo. Those graphics are multiple full time salary positions themselves. I’m jealous of those who had the opportunity to partake in this feat.

It's stunning and will be a disgusting eye-sore once it's used as a billboard.

Was in Vegas Oct 1st. Stayed at Palazzo. Sphere right outside our window. What a fascinating show. It’s a WINNER.

it is still the coolest structure/entertainment venue I have ever seen - and I am a civil engineer. Just amazing. I can’t wait to see it myself

As someone who lives in Vegas its as insane as it looks. Really cool to drive near the strip and see a massive moon or whatever it is that night

So this is how they built the moon... 👀

I used to play with LEDs as a kid and wonder how cool it would be to make a TV out of them. I thought if only they made blue LEDs and not just green, red, and yellow you could make RGB pixels. I graduated from college as an electrical engineer around the same time as blue LEDs were finally invented (garnering the inventors a Nobel Prize). Twenty years later LED TVs, flashlights, and light bulbs are standard and we have a gigantic spherical monument to LEDs in Las Vegas. So cool.

I had a big smile on my face when they showed the globe, moon, basketball and eye. Then my smile went away when they said companies are thinking of using it as an advertising billboard too.

It's an unparalleled and extraordinary experience that's truly exceptional—unlike anything else in the world. This is Las Vegas and America consistently showcasing pioneering achievements in iconic landmarks and technology. Despite global efforts to replicate, the U.S. continually leads the way, always being the first in numerous endeavors, from my perspective.

In a dangerous world it is wonderful to see magnificent things in the comfort of your home! Thank you Engineers for making this happen in America FIRST!

This is probably one of the coolest things ive ever seen. it makes it feel like we are living in the future.

I agree with the idea that this would only work in an area where the lights wouldn't be a nuisance to people living, but I also love the engineering of the building to what the electrical and computing side of it must be, so many outputs, I wonder what it takes to run all of it including the haptic feedback on the chairs to the individual audio speakers.
Can't even imagine the amount of wire management that would be required to keep things serviceable in case of repairs.

How could this not be a success, I think this is going to be a world wide thing.

Being an audiovisual engineer and designer this is fantastic. The graphics are on another world and would have taken many people to come together with their own engineering strengths and expertise for this to happen. The fact that it's water proof too is mind blowing.
