The overhead dumbbell narrow squat activates your entire posterior chain (Glutes, hamstrings, calves, erector spinae, lats and rear shoulders), it works your core and quads but also greatly improves your ankle, hip and shoulder mobility as well as helps you improve your general squat form.
The neutral grip I am using with one dumbbell allows for a size able increase lat and serratus anterior muscle activation by squeezing both ends of the dumbbell together.
The overall muscle activation you can elicit and strength you can build in this one exercise is INCREDIBLE!
