I got to say I'm coming from a pixel 3 XL to the new 8T and my experience has been absolutely phenomenal. The charging the fast screen refresh the amazing display and the OnePlus skin all have been really positive experiences for me.

Of course I messed up the camera part a little: It's a macro and a monochrome camera and that second flash looking thing on the back is a flicker sensor. This doesn't matter for the point I was making though.

Argh... It´s tiring to see so many YouTubers regurgitating the same old nonsense about OnePlus... Please, do your homework!!!... To say that this camera is mediocre is simply a big pile of BS. As someone who´s been using the iPhone 11 Pro Max (supposedly one of the best cameras around, packed with hype no matter who you ask) for a year before getting this phone, the camera is nothing short of excellent. Yes, there are nuances, yes, there are things others do better, but it is a very good camera, and one that improves quickly with every update. On top of that, the fact that you don´t use something (say monochrome camera or macro) doesn´t mean it is useless. I find the macro camera lots of fun and have gotten very cool pics with it.

All in all, the whole experience is far superior on a OnePlus than any of the other phones you mentioned. Native Android on the Pixel has lots of shortcomings and doesn´t benefit from any of the many fantastic features Oxygen OS adds. As for Samsung... You mention software but fail to recognize Samsung is terrible at that, good luck to FE users getting Android 11 any time soon!

for wireless charging also you have to put the phone on the table or something right. that too much much slower than the 65W wired charging. it jst take 1 extra step to do the charging. just to plug in. Do you prefer slow wireless charging or fast wired charging 🤷

There are some big mistakes in this review
The 5 megapixel camera is a macro camera, not depht sensor. The monochrome camera works as a sensor, the "second flash" is not really a flashlight and to say the 8T has the same performance as the Nord is a joke, they have completely different processors

I think the Pixel 5 is better if you are fine with the size. For me, the Pixel 5 was too small, so I increased my budget and got the Oneplus 8 Pro instead

in markets like India Oneplus 8t and Pixel 5 have huge price gap, Rupees 45, 000 and 84, 000 respectively. That's almost double the price
