I'm so excited. I received your book, today. Black Puertorican, 65 & retired. I've been to Johannesburg, South Africa before. I felt a sense of Freedom & Peace there, that i have never felt in America as a Black man. My partner, and I will return to visit SA in 2025 with intentions of relocating.

Cameroonian journalist here and graduate of Wits University. Glad you teach at Wits. Dr. Wekesa who's head of the African Center for the Study of the US at Wits, was my supervisor at Honours level. Glad that SA will get to benefit from your immense insights though the radio host didn't ask deep questions and came across as completely uninformed about a lot of Africa-US issues but still loved it overall.

You're genuinely a good human being for even speaking against misogyny when you are a man; it shows you have empathy and a selfless sense of justice.

A lot of pro-Black men, actually have a tendency to harbor misogyny towards Black women, which I find hypocritical.

People like that make me feel Like: 'you want to be free from anti-Black hate, while you harbor anti-Black-woman hate yourself?

They see oppression only so far as it affects THEM, and not women.
