It's special type of relationship provided by Salesforce in front it's looks like lookup but as backend it's works as master details relationship and it supports the cascade delete. It's works with contact as well but in case of case Object if account containing any case related to it the account will not be able to delete.

Hello Mohit, as per my practical knowledge Account and opportunity are standard object which follows special type of relationship.

Special type of relationship, opportunity exit without account.when account is delete related opportunity
Delete as well.
Neither lookup nor master detail.only special type of relationship .

It's a lookup relationship but at backend it works as master detail and it supports cascade delete functionality

Account is lookup relationship field to Opportunity(bcz sharing is not inherited). Salesforce out of box feature for allowing this lookup for roll up.

Lookup (special relationship): You can create rollup summary fields, but it's not master-detail.
