Amazon has created a new device called AmazonOne, which allows users to pay using their palm. It’s terrifying, but many people online are eager for this system to be rolled out across stores in the United States.

In the movie Jurassic Park, Ian Malcom said it best, "Scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, that they never stopped to think whether they should. "

As a previous employee of Amazon, DON'T trust Amazon with your biometric information!!

Amazon already completely locked some guy out of his smart house because one Amazon driver misunderstood his ring doorbell's auto answer. The driver claimed it said something racist, when it was just something like, "Hello, can I help you?"

This guy set everything in his house to connect to his Alexa account, so he couldn't even turn his lights on. It took a week of appeals to fix the problem.

Now we are supposed to add access to our I don't think so.

Nope. I cannot believe how people are so willing to give up so much privacy.

Several years ago Walmart got a new machine that required associates to scan their palms in order to get their till for the cash register. There were a group of us that said we wouldn’t do it. Sadly everyone ended up handing themselves over. I was the only one who felt uncomfortable enough about it to actually quit.

As a tech guy, this has 100% crossed a line.

This is why they let the shoplifters run amok, to have a reason to introduce total survailance in shops.

That hand palm thing is easily one of the most useless innovations Amazon has ever developed.

I've worked in factory jobs where you scan a fingerprint to clock in and clock out. The amount of time wasted every day because one in 10 people had some issue with the machine not being able to read their print for one reason or another was ridiculous.
So these may come with issues.

The Palm Reader and The RIFD Chip are going to be a huge boon for the emerging "Cutting People's Hands Off" industry.

I remember I was in boot camp in the Navy in 2001, around when "direct deposit" was first being implemented and it freaked me out. I tried to figure a different way to get paid, but that is how the military got us.

Now, SEVERAL slippery slopes later, people wanting "convenience" and this is where we are. Thanks America.

My father literally predicted this would happen years ago and said it was the Mark of the Beast. A lot of crazy sounding things he's said throughout my childhood are starting to seem a whole lot less crazy with how society is falling.

No way!

The frightening thing is that the next generation, who are already used to not having much privacy, will think nothing of giving their biometric data out.

did we just run across the reason they are allowing petty theft to become normalized? how else do you force people to accept this... create the problem to provide the solution that just happens to increase control and tracking

I like how they’re just pushing the mark of the beset kind of ironically like it’s joke to them that absolutely won’t go badly or anything

I remember being apprehensive to move to a chip reader like 5-6 years ago. Insane to see how far we've moved in such a short period of time.

As someone who works in healthcare. The offices/hospitals have it set up where you scan your hand to checkin. It scans the veins in your hand. Many people decline.

I've recently found your video and I really like how I think "oh no, she can't say that" and when I'm like "why not" because I agree with a lot of what you're saying. It's really nice having someone speaking there mind instead of pleasing the minority that are screaming that people should be cancelled. It's really scary to think how easy offended my generation is and that society is teaching us to just fit the standard and not have a mind of or own. So thank you!!!
