Work out your soul salvation with fear and trembling. Not saved by works but grace of God, yet we must strive for perfection in christ through the help of the holy spirit and when we sin be quick to admit repent and ask God for forgiveness. No human is without sin but we can strive to live holy

Jesus tells us that no man comes to him (to Jesus) unless God, the Father, draws him. I sought God only in remorse and when I needed Him because my heart is deceitful and desperately wicked.

When God chose to convict me, He stripped me naked of my excuses
for my sins and He clothed me with His mercy and love. He gifted me His faith and drew this repentant sinner to the feet of His SON.

Jesus accepted me and since then God circumcises my heart daily and the hearts of my children that we may love Him with all our hearts and souls. I pray one prayer: the one that Jesus taught us. I thank him every moment for His mercy.

Over a hundred years ago these words were first spoken to a congregation. You would be hard pressed to hear a soft mention of this in any modern church, let alone this hard truth expounded with such depth and clarity. We live in an age that likes to throw around the word "meta, " and this ages-old sermon is a beautiful treatment of the nature of faith, as opposed to items on a doctrinal list, often short, of a credo one ought to give assent. Most understand that one can believe authentically in what is false, but do they also know that believing falsely in what is Truth also leads to condemnation? There is no fear and trembling in our churches.

Thank you so much for this, I needed to hear the message. I see this phenomenon in many believers.
We have to remember that even the demons ‘believe’.
We are to workout our salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who is working in us to do of His good pleasure.
My own salvation started just like these folks. It was just “fire insurance “. Their was lion insurance. However I have a praying Mom. ❤
I got my fire insurance when I was five or 6 years old. The seed was planted. However true repentance was much later, in my late twenties. This process continues even today asHe reveals Himself and also shows me what I really am. 😞
I now have began to love my Creator.
Psalms 19:9 “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever.’

I remember he preached a sermon on the sovereignty of God on predestination and election so eloquently
And he said if I had something and I offered to everybody and everyone refused, then I came back and gave it to who I want to what wrong have I done. Salvation is what God is offering in Jesus Christ.
