This makes me feel so encouraged. I’m a senior in HS and my boyfriend is 19, and we’ve been together for 4 ish years. We have had a lot of people say we won’t last, and our plan to get married soon after I graduate is crazy, but they don’t understand that I’ve been waiting to marry this guy since the day I met him. I was 18 when I got engaged, and 19 when we got married. 11 years, and 2 kids later, he is still my best friend. ❤ When you get married young, you get to experience so many firsts together, it helps draw you closer. We had lots of judgment too, but when you know, you know. 🙂

I was engaged at 19 too — mid-30s now and glad we married young and had our kids young. Especially with my mom dying unexpectedly, I was so glad my mom got to experience my wedding and have a relationship with my kids before she passed.

I was almost 21 and my husband was 23 when we got married, so not quite as young as you guys but still young. We just had our 9th anniversary!! You grow so much as a couple and you learn how to deal with what life throws at you.

Husband and I were engaged at 19 and married at 20. Now 14 years married (18 years together), three kids later, and moved twice. We had up and downs but us being young and growing up/older together has cause us to have a very close relationship. I would trade all the memories we had made ❤️. I wish y’all the same!

My husband and I got married young and have our 5th anniversary this Friday! (Got married at 19&23) it was the best thing for us!! We have two kids now! Age 2 and 4 months! It’s tough some times but like Abby said it’s the best to grow up and grow old together!! ♥️ marriage is WORK whenever you get married!! Doesn’t matter if you’re 19 or 35 it’s combining someone else’s life with yours and caring about someone else’s needs 24/7 is a lot! Love you guys!!

My husband and I have separate bank accounts. Mainly because we always just didn't get to it. We've been together for 14 years and married for 5. And we're happy. We still share money. We still both pay bills, food when going out, groceries... it's not like we're super "my money is my money. Yours is yours."
