Nostalgia is a wonderful thing. You don't know what you got til it's gone. I don't think the type 2 will ever be as popular or loved as the Type 1.

My favorite American silver eagle I would have to say is the 2019-S enhanced reverse proof! And other reverse proof years. They are gorgeous coins!

Silver Wolverine, you know what are my favorite things I like about the American Silver Eagle? First, I like that they have a proof version of the silver eagle. The proofs are spectacular. Second, I like the history on the Type 1 silver eagle - the fact you have 13 stars above the eagle to represent the 13 original colonies, you have Lady Liberty walking towards the sunset carrying an American flag with 50 stars.

I like them all Silver Wolverine. I’m just glad I didn’t listen to all the haters about paying 2.50 to 3.00 over spot for Eagles back in 2018 and 2019. Getting full tubes for 360 bucks. My LCS is buying them back right now for 7 dollars over spot.

Silver Wolverine, the Canadian silver maple may not be as widespread in popularity compared with the Eagle, however there are many other things I like about the maple. First, the fact you have privy marks on maples. We even have 1 oz maples in holograms and pulsating maples, painted maple leafs, gilded maple leafs. You get a better deal buying maples because you get 25 in a tube compared with 20 in a tube for silver Eagles. It also has a slightly higher purity and costs less per oz, so you are getting more bang for your buck.

ASE 2013 is the best looking coins in my opinion reverse proof and Enhanced uncirculated

1989 was the only year they made a proof 1 oz Canadian maple leaf. Most maples leafs have been BU unless you get the maples with privy marks on them (some or most of these are frosted double proofs and reverse proofs, not all ). 1996 and 1997 are the lowest mintage dates for the maple.

My favorite of the ASE's is the enhanced reverse proof coin. It's one of my favorite coins to ever be minted.

I just love the ASE. I don’t get into all the hype of versions, mints, etc. it doesn’t matter to me where the machine sat when it was stamped 😳 I do like the look of the Reverse Proofs though. Thanks SW!

type 1 design is way better but we needed a change because the US Mint is pretty boring when it comes to collecting different designs.

All I buy are AGEs. However, if I was a silver bug, I would buy only ASEs. Highly liquid.

Type 2 is the beginning of the end of an American classic. (!!!!) Dates don't count for me, it was it's design. Type 2 is an abomination!
