On 12th of November 2011 Youtube, The BBC & Scott Free Productions asked the nation to record their daily life for a BBC documentary which was broadcast in June 2012.

Here are many of the highlights of what would have been just another normal day in the life of just one person 'myself' from a UK population of 60m+.

I would have preferred using a manual camcorder but those cost money, so I have to make do with my Panasonic TM10 & Samsung U20 for time lapse footage.

Edited in Sony Vegas Studio Production Suite HD10.

I have always enjoyed documentary & my Youtube Channel reflects this, 'Britain in a day' merely complimented what I already do. I believe that it is often the most mundane of things that through the passage of time become the most interesting?

I had a nightmare day filming, it all started with two punctures, on different bicycles, then the cold got to me later in the day.

I uploaded the raw footage to Youtube and submitted it around the 13th of November 2011 and then forget about for over two months "it wasn't until I began to edit the footage that I saw my day a little differently, the passage of time".

I submitted twenty two clips, ten were under consideration & BIAD finally asked for the original footage of four clips. So hopefully I will get a few seconds in the final cut?

2nd of May 2012, Britain in a day received approx 11,526 different clips submitted to YouTube from all round the UK. 'Britain in a day' have included 314 different contributors in the final film, I have just been informed that some of my footage has made the final cut and I am really happy!

My place is neat, but not perfect. Cleaning is always on going in the kitchen, its easier that way.
