For dth its good, for cable tv its not.
Info provided by you is partly correct and partly incorrect!!!
Currently regional channels+ Hindi entertainment+ Hindi movies+ Hindi news+ sports all channels + English entertainment+ English movies+ English news+ international news channels+ kids channels like pogo, CN, Disney etc + infotainment channels like NG+discovery+history etc, all these pay channels and all FTA channels are provided for us at 200₹ to 300₹ per month currently in most parts of India through Cable TV but after the new tariff plan all the above channels will cost you around 650₹ which is more than 200% price increase, government should cut the prices if they want to help people but not hike the prices by 200% which is absurd .BJP has done harm to the society than good by doing
1.note ban
2.petrol price hike
3.LPG price hike
4.gst implementation which is actually high
5.now tariff plans for TV
Ek aam aadmi ko sadak pe Laya hein modi sarkar, kahase achedin hein yeh!!!

Previously I had to pay ₹ 200 for watching 250 channels . Now for watching just 13 channels .I have to pay ₹287 +154 = 441 .
I haven't included any news channel or Sports channels yet . In what way is this cheaper ???
The best thing is to stop watching TV .

Cabel operator nor giving the freedom to people to select their channels while they demanding 600-700rs for all the channels who were costed 300rs before these tariff plans like running inflation..

I dont understand how this is a good thing? The cable operator made bundle (COMB) before costed 300Rs a month (wanted and unwanted), but now i make a bundle of 30 channels which r paid, which were already available in the previous COMB will cost me around 200Rs (excluding GST). now to this i add the Mandatory 130Rs (excluding GST) fees for 100 channel slot. This goes way over what i paid before (minus some more channels that i might watch once in a while)! So how is this proper? And the bouquet concept, talking a bouquet may cost less than individual channels thing. but if bouquets r prepared in such a way that a bouquet has just two channels in those r required and the remaining r unwanted and to get another favorite channel need to buy another bouquet or separate channel channel, isnt this just a gimmick?

It'll definitely benefit customers. My cable operator is giving me channels which I never watch, and on the other hand demanded more money to give channels of my choice. But implementation is the key. Hope TRAI will ensure that DTH and cable operators fall in line, because my cable operator is still not implementing the new rule. Even though the deadline is over.
