LEGO's REASONS DO NOT MAKE SENSE!

We have a reason why the new 2022 LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Express Collectors Edition set 76405 does not have two minifigures many want.

I think the only argument that actually stands to reason is the outfits one, but the entire series suffers from the same issue of Gryffindor and Slytherin being the only 2 houses that actually get significant exposure, and I don't think just adding generic Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw students does much to remedy it

There are 4 minifigures missing, adult Ron, adult Hermione and their 2 children Rosie and Hugo as they are both in that final scene. You could argue that adult Draco, his wife (sorry can't remember her name) and their son Scorpius should be included as well, as they passed by the Potter Clan on their way to meet the Weasley Clan.

I like the idea of having random students to make the platform/train look busy and populated but they should have prioritised main characters

22 Minifigs would have been too many, they’d be losing money on the set so it had to be just 20.

Also LOL at all the idiots last year telling me the Gunship could only have figs from 1 movie when this set has 4 movies represented. 🤔🤔🤔

Edit: I wasn't finished the video and you just mentioned it. I still think that's the reasoning but they don't want to admit it. Diversity is very important but in this case it seems forced and I think they know that

Obviously done to artificially increase diversity. It’s a sad decision to exclude Ron and Hermoine from the final scene for the sake of diversity. Cannot understand.

Seems like a diversity quota to me, regardless of what Lego says or doesn't want to say. For 500 bux those minifigs should had also been included since sets like the Daily Bugle ($350) has 25 minfigs.

Not gonna lie, I do think gieroman * said it best on 1414 Falcon fan’s post: “‘and the two extra students help populate the station with people of color because otherwise the whole set would be white people.’ No way this wasn’t the main reason.”

Isn’t this whole thing painfully obvious? Lego held them back so they can bait you with adult Ron and Hermione minifigs down the road in another set. Simple as that: I’m over it already lol.

It would honestly sit better with me if they simply removed the 2 random nameless students. Without them, it wouldn’t have felt like we had Ron and Hermione stolen from us. With them, it just makes no sense.

Nothing about that explanation makes any sense. No one is buying this set for the figures without already having some other Harry Potter figures in their collection. Therefore, there is absolutely no need for any robed Hogwarts students to be included.

They did it because there’s no diversity at all except for the dementor, lego has been adding more and more diverse figures, in the bugle, the sanctorum, and even the suitcase set you just showed in the video, there’s been more diverse lineups which is a good thing
