1 block firm tofu
1/4 cup soy milk
2 Tbs lemon
1 scoop flavored protein powder
2 Tbs Peanut Powder

Blend/process until smooth. Can add more soy milk if needed.

Boil the cubed tempeh in lightly salted water for 20-30 minutes prior to sauté and I guarantee you’ll love it more.

Ive never heard of doing a tofu yogurt/pudding like that. I'm gonna have to try that and make sure to shout you out on the channel. Also I agree with you I tell lots of my patients that eating soy for most people (depending on health conditions)is not an issue. And hope you do well on your upcoming marathon!!

Yoooo... anabolic window of 30-60 mins doesn't actually exist, you're fine to use protein a few hours after and it will have the same effect. 🙂

Soy protein is perfectly fine. Japanese men have been consuming it for hundreds of years with no problems. Dr. Greger has made a lot of videos explaining why its not estrogenic in men. Because soy isoflavones favor the ERβ receptor, they exert modulatory, not estrogenic, effects in men.

If you paid attention to a lot of social media influencers, then it will seem like there is largely an unsettled scientific debate around how much protein we need but in reality there is a scientific consensus that largely agrees that somewhere around 1.2 to 1.6 g per KG is likely good enough or optimal for most people. so I always try to get at least that much but I also try to get a little bit more because protein does have Sati affects to help you feel fuller longer depending on the food matrix of that protein as well. I say this because the overall food matrix of certain food is probably the biggest factor when it comes to being satiated.

Dude as a Cancer survivor I was told to eat high protein and have been struggling to get it so I tried your Temphe recipe and I loved it. morning I tried your fava bean tofu breakfast bowl and "oh no" not my cup of tea. I even added a Tablespoon of maple syrup but....Nope! I still have a second helping of it to eat but not gonna make that one again. Sorry. Thanks for the 1st one! Loved it.

Tempeh isn't actually just the mycelium, but also the bacteria that live in symbiosis with the starter culture. It's actually, arguably technically a type of cheese!
