Man, that jaw scene made me squirm. Speaking of jaws, I have had corrective jaw surgery back in 2002. They cut a 1/2" of my jaw bone and a thin line under my nose to get my teeth to align. I have 4 titanium plates and 28 itty bitty little screws in my jaw and skull for life.

Honestly, I love waking up from anesthesia, it's the only moment in life when I am not in pain.

Last year I was put to sleep thrice and it was great, I almost started to cry rn recalling what it felt like not to be in pain. I'll have another procedure in two weeks to deal with the pain, a sacroiliac denervation, and besides the procedure itself I'm really looking forward to the hours of no pain I'll get.

I take an opioid (50mg Tapentadol 12/12h) and, honestly, I am surprised I haven't used it above my prescribed dose, even though it isn't the maximum safe dose and I'm still in daily, momentous agony.

I have ankylosing spondylitis.
