For players that don't have lightfall. Play the campaign missions that are allowed on legendary, go to Neomuna & grab all the regent chests then go to the EDZ & farm public events for a few hours until every piece is 1750 then do your powerful gear from the vendors in the tower & around the system, then go for the pinnacle gear. Alternatively if you like crucible, go in there instead of public event farming. I managed to get to 1756 in about 3-4 hours. If you've been hoarding dares of eternity chests, pop those to speed up the process even more. 👍🏻

Also... any fresh weapon you craft drops AT LEVEL - so that makes power balancing much quicker/reliable if its any weapon that is holding you back.

I know some people say that you should just do the legendary campaign to get that free armor bundle of 1770 gear but honestly you can reach 1770 without that you can just do milestones.. plus it's not like contest mode for the day one raid it's not like your level was going to matter anyways everybody's going to be under level no matter what.. basically put there's no rush to hit 1800 but there's a lot of content in the game that requires you to be close to 1800. Example I really had to powergrind myself to over 1774 my Titan just so I can be at a decent level to do like the quest final steps for like final warning and for the new machine gun because as you know the new machine gun mission the last part of it you have to be seventeen seventy Plus.. that's my logic you should only level up when there's a reason to do so that's why my friends asked me how come I don't do the Pinnacle stuff as much as most people it's because I don't do it unless I'm doing GM's or doing a dungeon

Yeah just remember next week is going to be crucible mayhem and we're going to get double exp that's going to be a good way to get additional primes from vendor ranks

some pointers here are correct and some are inefficient.

I always go to DIM and check at what fraction of ?/8 i am at. If its doable with blues or world drops to supplement and increase an additional base power, go for it.
I have reached 1806 this week on base power. Min-Max (also RNG) know which pinnacles are higher, know when to grab powerfuls.

I still wish that destiny 2 had a smart loot system like we had in destiny 1 where you had the option to either pick armor or weapons not having a system like that it just makes grinding much more slower specially if your prone to constantly get duplicates because when you're constantly getting duplicates one that's going to piss you off into it will prolong and throttle your progression to a point where love went up will be extremely slow.. I don't know why people aren't smart enough to realize the reason bungee had a system like this is to keep players playing the game just like the lottery you know you don't win a ticket some money off a ticket you keep buying a lottery ticket over and over and hoping to actually win. The same thing with the leveling progression system in destiny 2 it's a are playing a game you're hoping to get a drop that you need but we don't get it you keep trying to do it but you keep seeing the same mistakes..

for any of you guys that want to do legendary lost sector
you dont need to get 183, i know it says
1830, you actually only need to be 1815 - 1820 to play the legend lost sector
same for the master lost sector, clearly says 1840 but only need minimum of 1820-1830
that should do

I did the campaing, got 1770 from It and then I did the raid and the Dungeon.
Now I'm 1805, Its pretty easy

Won't lie, was about to ask a stupid question. I'll say it regardless but I figured it out. I was gonna ask how we can do strikes without getting the pinnacle but just don't use the burn for week. Also my other question is how do you get powerfuls from gambit and crucible without getting the pinnacles?
