Most people that play pre programmed sets are playing to a pre programmed audience anyway, they aren't there for the music, they are there so they can get a selfie of the lineup poster for instagram.

Id love to go back to back with you. It's something I noticed myself when I was doing squat raves. As soon as we had to use the original CDJ 2000s suddenly I was the only DJ that could mix. It's actually sad how many "DJ's" can only use the sync button and when the older hardware comes out suprise suprise they can't mix. So glad I learnt vinyl and beatmatching before anything when I was 16.

Let's dig through the crates! A 5hr set would be EPIC! Nothing beats vinyl on the 1200's. It just feels so good.

Let me say. Mr Goldie you are indeed a star, legend, founding father, superhero.... Nothing but respect but the game has changed my friend. I am a true dnb/jungle head since 95. Very picky. I have impeccable taste for this. Have some respect for the new guys trying to accomplish what you already have.

I could blow the dance floor to pieces with a 25 year old record that these people have never heard and I can do it on the fly. It’s just a different sport altogether

How you gonna react to a crowd if you can’t change the next tune you put on? That’s not a DJ, that’s radio with no ads😂😂😂

I went to see Goldie in a small club and he just stuck his Saturn album on and played it. No bangers or remixes or anything. Worse DJ set I ever saw. Grooverider on the other hand, took us all on a journey and it was the best DJ set I've ever been to.

Spot on, most wouldn’t be djs if it wasn’t for programs telling them what tune goes with what or the equipment doing most of the work I.e beat matching the tracks, when you watch some of them even with all the technology the mixing is basic ….. wait to the break down throw on the flanger and bang it in to the next tune . Read the writer credits to their tracks a 3.30 dance inspired pop tune can have 7 or 8 writers and surprisingly the artist in question doesn’t have one of those credits but a … cough “producer” credit

Djing used to be a artform that required skill now anyone can press play on a button and wave their arm's round whilst not doing anything
