"Heavy Tailbone" is integral to a proper plie'. I am not surprised that there is more Pilates-based floor routines (for PureBarre) but surprised there is seemingly less barre work.

I have never attended a PureBarre class, so I cannot speak from any experience about PureBarre.

As a former dancer barre work was, when done correctly, a massive boost to strength, flexibility, and conditioning before floor work. Again, strictly speaking for Ballet.

Not sure how or why PureBarre would strive to reinvent the wheel here.

Just do Ballet!
