Shawn & Mel
Steve was, is always will be the best blue eyed blues singer to ever grace a stage, period, full stop!!!
Do a little digging into his legacy and you'll find his lovely daughter Mollie Marriott has followed in his footsteps.
"Give Me A Reason" would be a great start along with any songs from "Truth Is A Wolf".
From an old Rock & Blues photographer/stagehand my Thanks for keeping it real...

It's easy to forget how great a guitarist he is when he sings, and it's easy to forget how great a singer is when he plays guitar. Wow.

Steve Marriott is criminally underappreciated. One of the greatest voices in Rock history!

For me Steve Marriott was the voice of the 60s. I was smitten as a teenager! Saw the Small Faces live in 67/68 and they were out of this world. Thank you Steve and Rest in Peace now.

This man was a dynamo! A small man in size but a HUGE voice! Better than Robert Plant, Joe Cocker and Paul Rogers. He was the best singer England ever produced. He was strung out on coke and booze at this point and he was still fantastic. This man radiated pure energy, so explosive!

Lead singer of the Small Faces Pie (70s) and solo act in the 80s/90s. UNDERATED is the word.

The force of nature that was Steve Marriott...almost unfair to all the others before and after him!!!

I'm so used to concentrating on Steve's unique voice I'd forgotten how brilliant a guitar player he was

Had the absolute pleasure of meeting Steve a few times during the late 80's and early 90's. We drank a few beers and smoked a few spliffs and had a bloody good laugh. He was the one of the very best British guitarists, and the BEST VOCALIST EVER!
R.I.P Stevie M.

My friend Steve (singer/guitarist/songwriter) opened for Steve Marriott on a Canadian tour some 35 years ago. The experience pushed him towards a career as a screenwriter. He said basically, watching him (Marriott) every night I knew I'd never touch what he could do. A very humbling experience. Check out Humble Pie - "30 days in the hole".

This why the BLUES are the blues! No other music can do this to you. Body, Mind and Soul! The Pain, Heartbreak and Love that comes from the blues is absolutely life changing!

I've been a fan of his, since he was in small faces. First time I've seen this. He was such a tremendous talent! Thanks for showing it!

Steve was one BAD ASS talent who didn't really get his due. I seen him live when I was a teen... changed my life.
