Nice general car conversation… versus the McLaren… One thing you really captured well, which I think is very descriptive of the nature of this particular car, engine, transmission, &c., is the unique sound of the car… at least in normal street driving conditions. It sounds even better on the track when you can really air it out. I own the same model and haven’t ever seen a need to upgrade to a newer version.

Case can be made 991.2 GT3 RS, but not 991.1. Having owned and extensively tracked them both the .2 was much better

991.1 and 991.2 GT3 RS are peak Porsche. 992 not so much.

First model made after VW merger with Porsche. Non homologated race engine (which led to engine failures and a massive PR hit in 2014) No manual transmission, electric steering, and the engine being moved to basically a mid engine layout…. And you think this is the best RS ever? lol. There is why the 7.2 RS is regarded as the best RS ever. By actual enthusiasts. Not YouTubers
