Hey MC, this knife runs on a double row of captive bearings. Lionsteel uses a very thick weight grease in the pivot. Clean it out, add some KPL and it'll reassemble perfectly center and drop shut. I have a anodized blue Ti version and it is custom quality in action and fit and finish.. no heat treat issue on it. It's a frequent in my rotation. Peace.

I’ve got this knife in the bronzed titanium model. I do love how smooth the action is (provided you get past the heavy detent) & the fit/finish is superb. It’s the most expensive knife I own, so I don’t really EDC it at all. The only complaints I have about it are the pocket clip: it’s gorgeous but the end sticks up & is not rounded off, so it digs into my finger if I don’t hold it just right when opening with my right hand; I’d love to see a slightly more rounded end. The only other real pain point is the flipper tab, which is also a bit uncomfortable. Maybe the next version would have a bit more rounding off, or some jimping to ease the pointy edge. Aside from a couple minor issues (this IS an expensive knife, so it bears more scrutiny), it really is superb & I’m very glad I bought it.

You said it well, MC... That is one handsome looking knife. I really like when companies use that rougher, more "raw" weave-y type micarta. Excellent lockbar access. And the milling on the lockside looks gorgeous, I've never seen a milling pattern quite like that.

I’ve been carrying the Myto everyday for the last week. I have the full titanium model. Absolutely love it.

Edit: the full ti versions have a better detent. Very easily push button or light switch. I’ve owned both the micarta version and titanium .

My Lionsteel M4 in M390 (2020 purchase) has held an edge quite well. Still very sharp one pronghorn antelope and two mule deer later.

As a PROFESSIONAL brick chopper in halfer guy I take offense to your comments. My boss only allows us to use Buck 110s struck mightily with claw hammers and sharpened at the end of each day on the bottom of a coffee mug.

So glad to see you review the Myto, I’ve got one in all Titanium (blue anodized) and it’s one of my favorite EDC’s. I can tell you that if you’ve been used to US made knives (or some Chinese manufactures as well), you find little Nuances that make the feel and function different. That aside….great f***ing knife!

I got one of those little lionsteel keychain knives for my girlfriend and the heat treat on that seems nice I guess. theres not much to judge since its a keychain knife but still...
