Ok, a farm girl, dad taught me and my sister how to chang a tire, oil and air. Before we got on the roads. Plus I can change mowing blades, pack wheel on bailers, etc.

Poor guy. That's why we have to be a kinder generation willing to help, because all we have is each other. BUT, I've met a few that act like they don't know what they're doing, just to get someone to do it for them. I'm willing to supervise, but labor isn't a good idea for myself.

Daddy said, if you want your license. You must first know how to change your oil, spark plugs, distributor, and tires.. ect..if you can not learn those basic needs. Then you do not need your drivers license.
So, he taught me how to rebuild an entire engine! Love that man!

I used to work at a tire shop and one a day a girl came by with a portable air tank wanting it filled, i filled it for her and said here you go i put 120 pounds in it, she freaked out and said i cant carry that its to heavy

My dad taught me little to nothing about actual mechanic skills for working on cars or carpentry skills while he remodeled our house. Tbh I had no desire then to learn those things. However, his example taught me a HUGE amount. I learned that it was possible for a non-professional to do high quality work, it just took a little longer. Years later I had the confidence to learn how to rebuild automobile engines, to learn carpentry and electricity and plumbing in order to remodel my own house, to learn furniture grade carpentry to make tables and chests and cabinets. I simply assumed that if my dad could learn these things and do well, so could I. That confidence, which came directly from his example, I am very thankful for. Sometimes just setting a good example is sufficient.

Drivers Ed in High School sophomore I was the only one in the class who raised her hand as to knowing how to change a tire. All of 85 pounds and a girl the teacher kept looking for a guy at least. Then I got the go ahead. No time tire changed and all parts were in proper place. Boy did that teach come unglued on mostly guy class. 😂😂😂 Best moment of my very shy life.❤

This is sad. I can't tell if this is a joke or not. 2 high school girls volunteered at the animal shelter my wife was working at, they couldn't read a clock. If it wasn't digital they were out of luck. So again, I could believe he's telling a true story. So sad.
