Well one thing i think, if a black hole replaced our sun as depicted in this video, we'd probably still be able to see it, it just wouldnt be nearly as bright as the sun, It would probably just appear to us as a slightly larger star in the sky. It might even provide heat if it has enough matter in its accretion disc, assuming it has one. If not then yeah we wouldnt see or feel it.

OK. So.. time is super slow inside a black hole to those looking from outside.. so if we could create a nuclear explosion large enough to fill the black hole the explosion would last a long time potentially acting as a new sun. Will it work? Idk.
