Aarova Short Rally 2019 - SS7: De Bruwaan 4 - all cars (last stage. 2 mistakes, Snijers flat tyre)

The last stage of the first Aarova Short Rally, filmed from the corner before the last public area (near the finish). Results and some timestamps below.

Rally winner: Pieter Tsjoen! Vincent Verschueren ends on the 2nd place with only +3.2 seconds. The 3rd place is for Timothy Van Parijs with +44.5, who was 7.6 seconds faster than Frederic Miclotte who aimed for a podium place too with the Fabia evo from Sébastien Bedoret in the BRC. Paul Lietaer ends 5th overall on +1:31.8 after the flat tyre of Patrick Snijers. After the previous stage, Lietaer was 8 seconds behind Snijers.

Flanders Historic top 5:
1. Cedriek Merlevede (34) - Opel Ascona B - completed in 5:45.1 (P14 overall)
2. Kevin Vandenbussche (59) - BMW 323i - +7.6
3. Mathieu Lietaer (62) - Ford Escort RS 1800 MKII - +12.1
4. Arthur Kerckhove (56) - Ford Escort RS 2000 MKII - +17.0
5. Vincent Vandenabeele (55) - Ford Escort RS 2000 MKI - +20.7

Here too there was a hard battle for the first and the 3rd place... The eventual winner is Kevin Vandenbussche, who was 3.5 seconds faster than Cedriek Merlevede who ended on the 2nd place. On the 3rd place... Mathieu Lietaer who jumped over Vincent Vandenabeele with 0.1 second! He says he attacked very hard on this last stage to get this podium place, and succeeded.

11:39 John Wood (71) - Ford Sierra Sapphire 4x4: small mistake (slides off road)
